The George is a friendly community local, which attracts people of all ages. Sports are a prominent feature, with local football teams, pool teams, darts and live sports shown. Mondays are killer pool, Tuesdays Gin of the week, Thursdays Quiz night, Fizz Fridays, Saturdays live entertainment and on Sundays home made Sunday Lunches.

Regular events are held throughout the year, supporting the local community. A bus pass food offer is popular with the locals, along with the 2 for £12 lunch menu. Currently the kitchen is franchised out, offering a selection of smaller plates, nibbles, main meals and desserts. Current opening hours are Sunday- Thursday 12pm – 11pm, Friday & Saturday 12pm- 12am
