Located in the cumbrian village of Burton-in-Kendal, the Kings Arms is a large beautiful stone building dating back to the 1700’s. There is potential for investment from Thwaites in the pub trading area and the pub letting rooms. There is a central bar which is surrounded by seating areas, in front of a log burning stove. A separate dining area, a pool room and a good sized full equipped catering kitchen. 6 letting bedrooms are located within the pub and a further 7 in the barn, one which has disabled access. Externally there is a beer garden located in the courtyard, along with a small private enclosed area to the side and a smoking shelter. At the rear of the property there is a large car park and allotments. Living accommodation consists of 2 double bedrooms, 1 single, lounge, kitchen, bathroom and office. Various storage areas are located in the main building and the barn.
Trade at the Kings comes from the local towns and villages, along with passing traffic, local contractors/businesses and tourists. Capernwray Diving Centre is close by and visitors here use the pub regularly between March – November. Food is locally sourced, made fresh to order, often using vegetables from their allotments at the bottom of the car park, the pub has a great reputation. There is a pool team on Tuesdays, the tennis club use the pub regularly and there is a pensioners lunch on the 2nd Wednesday of every month, which is very popular. Food is served Monday – Thursday 12pm-2pm and 5-pm-9pm. Friday, Saturday and Sunday food is served all day. Opening hours for the pub are Monday – Wednesday 12pm-11pm, Thursday – Saturday 12pm- 12am and Sunday 12pm-11pm
