Being situated in the centre of Padiham, upon the main road, the Flying Dutchman has great curb appeal. The central bar is surrounded by various seating/dining areas and a pool room. The pub has a fully equipped catering kitchen, the pub is not currently serving food but the kitchen is capable of a small food offer. To the left hand side of the pub there is a small outside area which is used during the summer months. The living accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and bathroom. There is also a large attic which is used as an office and for storage.
Trade at the Flying Dutchman comes from the local town. A farmers market is held every Sunday, which attracts people from further afield. There is an Armed Forces event held annually called Padiham Parade, which brings people to the town from the local areas. A quiz is held every Friday, Karaoke every Saturday and live entertainment on Sundays. Sky & BT sports have been offered in the past and could be reintroduced. Pool teams use the pub on Mondays and the darts board is used regularly. Current opening hours are Monday – Thursday 1pm-11pm, Friday and Saturday 12pm -1am and Sunday 12pm until 12am.
