Located in the village of Upton, Birkenhead. The Eagle & Crown is a substantial building with extensive space throughout. A large wrap around bar is located in the centre of the trading area. There is ample seating throughout the pub with a raised seating area located to the left of the bar. A sports area with a pool table and darts board is at the rear, along with a separate function/meeting room which benefits from it’s own toilet facilities. There is potential for kitchen equipment to be added to the current prep room. Upstairs there is a large function room which has it’s own bar and toilet facilities. External smoking area is located at the rear, along with a good sized car park. The living accommodation consists of 4 bedrooms (one is currently used as an office), lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and W/C. It can be accessed via a private entrance.
The pub has very a strong wet trade throughout the week and at the weekend. Trade comes mainly from locals who live nearby or in the village. Entertainment consists of Karaoke on Fridays and live music on Saturdays and Sundays. In the past a quiz was held and live sports were shown, both proved popular with customers. A pool team is held on Tuesdays and a darts team on Thursdays. Local community clubs also use the facilities, especially the private back room on the lower floor. The upstairs function room is used regularly for weddings, christenings, funerals and birthdays. Current opening hours are 11am until 12 midnight Monday to Sunday.
